How close is yugioh World Championship 2009 to the real TCG card game?

I want to know if all the cards in it are the same has in real life, and that the duels in the game are played the exact same has in real life?

Because I know some times the videos game have a tendance to change how a certain card works, or the rules to make the game fit more like the show then real life. So how close is this game to playing Yugioh TCG in real life? How close is yugioh World Championship 2009 to the real TCG card game?Very close. And I mean very close. As in they're nearly exactly the same, or at least I think. They share the same rules and the only difference you can find between official TCG and WC would be something so tiny you wouldn't even bother with it, if you find it. The cards are the same too.

Actually, the only difference you might find plausible is that WC does not include all the cards you can play with. Also, the banned card list in WC might be outdated, so you should check up on that. Otherwise, they're pretty much the same.

The thing you shouldn't get official TCG rules from is the anime. How close is yugioh World Championship 2009 to the real TCG card game?YGO 2009 is very simular, some cards work differently than real world.

For ex.:

Burning land needs field magic card to activate.

Chainsaw Insect no effect if attacking directly.

Cards like Nightmare penguin don't flip effect in battle, if attacked.

These are real world effects not the game.
