What will happen to the Xbox live marketplace, Nintendo online store, and playstation store when the next generation of video game systems comes out? will you still be able to download the games on the the current generations stores? Every time I open a pc game for some reason it's in a smaller window, not full screened. It's never happened before, I don't know what the problem is. Ok so I installed Modern Warfare 2 onto my hard drive with my xbox 360, no scratches on it or anything it works fine, and lets say that sometime in the future that game disk becomes scratched and won't load or be played. Actually, the only difference you might find plausible is that WC does not include all the cards you can play with. Also, the banned card list in WC might be outdated, so you should check up on that. Otherwise, they're pretty much the same.

1. you need xbox live, which ehen you logon to live, it automatically updates, which is the reason i never go on.

2.there is another way, of where you download them off the internet and put them on disk, which is quite hard to do, and there is the risk of adware - virii, spyware, and other stuff.

in my opinion, updates are a waste of time, because they clear up glitches, and bugs, but they can also change the game aswell.

another problem i see, is that it is compulsary to download them, otherwise it wont let you go online.

all my life ive had people accuse me of eating disorders or mental problems. but no-one believes that my weight has been this naturally all my life (except my boyfriend belives me thankfully!). when i was pregnant some years back i only gained a stone and a half. after my child was born my weight plummeted to BMI of 16 while i was breastfeeding so i had to stop. i eat 3 times a day, i eat fish five times a week, love chips, pizza and anything pasta based. i eat about 8 eggs a week, love bread (wholegrain) and enjoy smoothies, cheese yoghurt and the odd chocolate bar (i prefer savory treats like crisps to be honest). but i dont eat a lot of junk food, i mostly cook for myself. but now as im getting older, being this thin at 5foot 7 isnt good. but my periods are regular, i get tired from time to time but nothing unusual, just motherhood really, i smoke and drink once a week when i go out with friends..ive no extremes of food or drink behaviours except for tea, i drink about 20 mugs of tea a day..i cant help that.

the doctor said my BMI is too low, to eat more and go on supplements (im on high multivitamins) but as ive no health issues just to come back for checkup in 6 months.

is there anything i can take to gain weight? has anyone else got this concern?

Maybe you just cannot gain weight because you cannot make fat reserves. Could be genetics (like Mick Jagger and his daughters) or you were born prematurely. I know a guy like that who still looked like a skinny teenager at 40 and had to carry ID if he wanted to drink in a bar to prove that he was at least 21. He was born at 6 months, eats tons of food, always hungry, since he cannot make fat reserves.

You seem to be in good health (no health issue and regular periods) and have a good diet (except those 20 mugs of tea a day, you must pee a lot).

The BMI does not apply to everybody, just most of the people but not everybody. It surely does NOT apply to you (no offense, but your doctor is a moron). The BMI does not apply to naturally very thin people, or skinny-fat people (NWO: Normal Weight Obese, light people with a high body fat percentage) or athletes who are heavy with a lot of muscle mass and a low body fat percentage.

At 5’7, you’d need to weigh 108/109lbs to get a 17BMI which is not that bad, just look like it because you’re so tall.

I’m 5’5 and I have a normal 120lbs/126lbs (BMI 20/21) weight but when I was breastfeeding, I got down to an 18BMI (108lbs) and also had to stop breastfeeding (after a year) because I was becoming underweight after having first lost all the extra weight I put on during the pregnancy. I did not stop breastfeeding because my BMI got low; I just got to a point where I had nothing more to give as far as fat reserves was concerned so my milk production stopped on its own.

What about exercising…aerobics and weight lifting? You’re not saying anything about that.

No offense to your doctor but he doesn't know what he/she is talking about. BMI is a very inaccurate way to measure how "healthy" one is. For example, I have a client who is 6'0 and weighs 185lbs. According to the BMI calculator he is overweight. However, he is about 7% body fat (lean and ripped to shreds). The only way to get an accurate idea of how healthy you are is getting your body fat measured. Find a personal trainer who has their own set of Harpinder Calipers and is trained in how to use them (I prefer personal trainers who are Poliquin certified, you can check his website to find one in your area). Cut back on the tea. Caffeine is a stimulant and it will reduce your weight. So will smoking, but you only do that once a week, so I doubt it's having much of an effect. Alcohol seems to be neutral.

That being said, I quite agree, BMI is a limited measure. What you need to know is the percentage of body fat. Unless it's in an unhealthy range, consider yourself blessed, most people would give their eye teeth to be able to eat what they want without getting fat. You could probably plump up by adding more simple carbs, white bread, sugary treats, junk food, that sort of stuff, but why eat the very stuff that makes us unhealthy? To judge by your diet, you'll live just about forever, and in good shape, too.

i dont have "small" genetics. my mum is a big woman and my dad is normal. everyone on my mums side is big. my mum has trouble losing weight and puts weight on easily.

when i was 14 i was over weight. i tried everything to lose weight, but cause of what i thought is genetics (i take after my mum) and my metabolism i gained. when i reached 17 i lost all my weight through extreme exercise and diet, i got way too skinny.

soo heres the thing:

ive been binge eating for the past 4 weeks and havnt put much on. im talking about eating whole pizzas and king sized blocks of chocolate all in one go. ive put a little on, but you cant really tell.

I keep telling her how unhealthy this crap is yet she continues to buy these stupid frozen pizzas and hotpocket crap. She thinks just because these damn hotpockets say they have broccoli or whatever in them that they are healthy. NONE OF IT IS. Perhaps a more constructive (and tastier) approach would be to offer to take over the shopping and cooking for a week; or at least to make the lists for your mum to buy, and to do the cooking. Everything is healthy if its eaten in limit. Try a lean pocket. 1 of those is like 300 calories. that could be 1 meal.

Cereal and milk for breakfast 300 cals

1 hot pocket for lunch 300 cals

1 individual frozen pizza 500 cals

1100 cals for the day.

Maybe your mother isn't financially stable? most frozen foods are cheaper than fresher veggies and fruits.

I really like this girl from school, Mildred, and i think she likes me too but she is playing hard to get. I wrote her a love poem about a month ago, but she tore it up and handed it back to me. I know when attempting weight loss there are necessary rules one must follow like limit your intake of carbs and sugar, eat fresh fruits and vegetables, make sure you get enough protein, exercise so you burn more calories than you consume in one day. This maybe easy to follow for some people but i am having EXTREME problems with this.

1. My main problems is the intake of carbs and reduction or cancellation of sweets in my diet. I'm still a teenager so this is very difficult to follow especially if you have other siblings and your whole family could care less about your goal of being healthier in fact they'd try to stop you! well of course i mean me. Not only that but its really hard to limit carbs when your food supply is made of say 60% unhealthy carbs! and i can't continuously ask my parents to go shopping every week to get me fresh veggies or whole grains when i need them. On top of that we don't have much money right now so to save money when food shopping my mom always buys the cheap and easy white bread and simple spaghetti huge bags of rice microwavable waffles the generic frozen pizzas and sugar induced cereals. She tends to also buy food right after work so we never get a say so in what we want. once again on top of THAT im half Hispanic and even though we don't live in my moms country anymore she still cooks like we do. by that i mean rice in almost every meal or something fried, not that i eat anything fried blah! but the rice is hard to resist when she prances with it around on a platter, rarely does she involve any fruit or fresh veggies into the party as her favorite dish is rice beans and chicken. not to mention its hard to go all ancestral i your diet when we live in modern America and one is surrounded by fried greasy fatty sugary carb filled eats and if one does manage to revert to the natural way of fuel it surely tastes bland and boring. How do i overcome this for my own health????

You have the perfect attitude to adopt a healthy eating lifestyle and be lean and healthy for life (most people lack this and will always be overweight and unhealthy). It's not going to be easy in your household though, because when you eat bad foods (sugar, white flour products and processed foods) you get cravings for more bad foods (due to the huge insulin spikes they cause which gives you low blood sugar). When you eat 5 healthy balanced (complex carbs, protein and good fats)meals a day, those meals will trickle glucose (blood sugar) into your system and you won't get low blood sugar, therefore you won't get cravings for crappy foods (quick sugar fix). Healthy food doesn't have to taste bland. Oatmeal tastes great if you add fruit, no sugar added syrup, cinnamon, diet yogurt and skim milk. Oatmeal is one of the best fat burning foods out there (as long as you don't shovel the sugar on it). Instead of sour cream on baked potatoes, I whip up 1% cottage cheese with green onion, garlic and spices and it tastes better than sour cream and now you are eating very low fat protein instead of a ton of saturated (bad) fat. You seem to be good at finding the right information, so just eat like bodybuilders eat (they have it down to a science on what foods are healthy, fat burning and muscle building). When you eat right and exercise you will be amazed how fast your body will burn off any extra fat (I lost 45 lbs in 4 months and added muscle, so I probably lost 60 lbs of fat and now I'm ripped) and you will feel GREAT all the time. I did this while having one cheat day a week where I eat what ever and don't worry it won't hurt your progress, it will actually help because when you are on a calorie deficit diet your metabolism will want to slow down and by overeating a bit one day a week it will kick it back into high gear.

You don't have to burn all the calories you eat with exercise, because all your body functions (heat, digestion, pumping blood...) burn most of your calories. A 200 lbs person needs 2000 (10 x body weight in lbs) calories just to be alive (no exercise).

I'm 14, 120 lbs and currently play football at my highschool as a wide reciever. I need to gain more weight (maybe around 130-140) so i'm weight training 3 days a week and I train moderately-extreme every day. I'm just wondering, how should I start this? Should I pig out and then start the diet the next day? Or should I go a day or so of just drinking water and tea and a few veggies and THEN start the diet? To, you know, create a more gentle flow to the all liquid diet?

The reason I'm doing this is to get a REAL jump start to a real diet. I've dieted correctly before--eat less and healthy, and do cardio, but it could NEVER get me under 160. I started at 210, and exercised my butt off and ate healthily...However, I could only get to about 160 the lowest and the scale would just NOT move! I'm talking, for months! So of course, I gave up. Now, after my returning to a crap diet and eating pizzas everyday, I'm back up to about 170 lbs.. I'm confident I won't gain it back, because right after this, I'm not going to return to an OLD junkie diet, I'm going to eat healthy and small portions. Most people have no family history of diabetes!! This is because more than 15 years ago, people were not tested for diabetes. If something were wrong with them the doctors usually treated them for heart disease, liver disease, kidney disease, or told them they were "just dizzy red heads" and sent them home.

Now as to you having ALL of the symptoms!! No way!! Most of those symptoms appear after years of high glucose numbers!!

Mainly you are eating correctly with the problem of being a teenager and indestructible so you think you need to eat 3 or more McD's super duper servings at one setting.

Some people are naturally skinny and some are naturally fat!! Those who are skinny will be that way for life, no matter what they eat or don't eat.

Anyway, to set your mind at rest, do get a complete physical exam including blood work! Fasting for more than 8 hours is totally unnecessary for the blood work.

Type 1 is much more dangerous though and you could die of it if you are not diagnosed. So if this is really happening and has come on recently, get medical help immediately.

How do I get my friends to implement some basic sanitary standards?

My married friends Jay and Helen display a complete lack of sanitation and hygiene when serving food. I am good friends with them and enjoy going to their home, but I dread eating or drinking anything there. I've given them a few hints but would really like to go all out and tell them what I think. Since they have a son who is just about to turn 2, I think it is especially important, so I'm wondering if I can use the health of their son as an excuse for talking to them. I realize that it isn't my business what they do at home by themselves, but if they are inviting people over and serving them food and drinks I think they have some sort of obligation to follow some basic rules. I admit to being a little bit of a germophobe, but I don't have any complaints about any of my other friends when I eat and drink in their homes, and I know they aren't perfect, and I'm not either. I'm not expecting them to go to extremes (such as hairnets or latex gloves), and I don't do that myself either.

I was looking online for perhaps some online articles to forward to them, but a lot of what I found was for people in the restaurant business. Most of what I found for the home was for cooking, thawing, raw food, etc. I'm sure they aren't sanitary about that either. While there was a lot about washing hands, there was little or nothing mentioned about how to handle the plates, utensils, etc., and I think that the people who write these rules and tips don't realize how disgusting some people are. People like my friends need very detailed rules because I don't think they understand the concept or care. If I can find a book that goes into all this I would be happy to buy it for them as a gift.

Yesterday I was at their home for a birthday party for their son. Here is what I observed:

1. Helen disposed of a used diaper in the garbage pail without washing her hands afterwards, then handled food. I鈥檓 certain that she didn鈥檛 wash her hands after changing the diaper, but it is possible that she could have used hand sanitizer as I wasn鈥檛 present in the room. In any case her hands were contaminated when she threw out the diaper and they weren鈥檛 washed.

2. Helen emptied bag of chips into a bowl, sticking her hand in the bag to help take the chips out, rather than just pointing the bag down and pouring them from the bag.

3. Helen used her hands in assisting her to place the slices of birthday cake on the plates. She used a regular knife to cut the cake, and I think with a cake knife it would have been easier to use the knife to move the cake to the plate without touching it.

4. While serving the birthday cake (and touching it as explained in item 3 above), Helen licked her fingers.

5. Helen handled the pizza in an unsanitary manner, touching it unnecessarily. To some extent this may have been difficult to avoid because the pizza had to be heated in the microwave.

6. Utensils for the birthday cake were in the plastic bag they were purchased in, but the bag was torn open on the end that touches the food, not the handle end. This makes it difficult for people to take a utensil without touching other utensils.

7. Jay handed me a cup of water with his hands over the top of the cup.

8. Drink cups were arranged face up rater than face down.

9. I was pleasantly surprised that they used a ladle like serving spoon for the bowl of ice, but I think that tongs would have been better. The other guests were unsanitary as well, and I saw them sticking the ladle inside their cups, possibly touching cups that they drank out of already.

10. I don鈥檛 know if either of them washes their hands when using the bathroom, but I can鈥檛 say for sure. I've witnessed Jay not washing his hands when using a public bathroom. I don鈥檛 know about his wife, but it wouldn't surprise me if she didn't either.How do I get my friends to implement some basic sanitary standards?
It's been my experience that they'll never learn--"it is what it is". In the future, decline all invitations to their parties in a polite manner (if it's for the kid, you can always just send a gift instead). Anything you say is going to be taken as a personal attack.

I'd get some different friends, frankly....it's not like you're related to these people. If they ask why you're avoiding them, then have a heart-to-heart talk. They were never taught how to do things and I'm betting really don't care either. Anytime you'd go over, you're going to be on constant guard watching for every little thing%26gt;%26gt;so why get sick over it...just don't go.

That dirty diaper business tells me all I need to know.
I disagree with other posters who don't think washing hands after diapers is important-we always wash before handling babies %26amp; after any diaper changes/or B4 feedings. Good luck with trying to educate them. Carrying bottle of sanitizer is no big inconvenience-they come in pocket size.

As far as I'm concerned, there's no room for compromise when it comes to good "bathroom" hygiene-I don't blame you for limiting them when handling food. Hope something sinks in when you read your list to them. If they're really "friends" they will have a reasonable discussion..if not: write them off

Honestly? If you keep your house spit-shine clean and everything sterilized, your kid is going to grow up allergic to everything and with a weak immune system. Let it go.How do I get my friends to implement some basic sanitary standards?
Sorry, and I'm fairly conscious of reasonable sanitariness too, but these people aren't very different from average so I think that you may be more germaphobic (mysophobic) than you realize. Most of your examples were extremely minor (even to me), and nothing much more than you'd get just handling things in public or their phone/computer/door handles/etc, or kissing someone, etc.

It isn't even healthy for humans to live in a completely sanitary world since our immune systems would get flabby and not work, though that doesn't mean that certain things aren't worse than others or that isn't reasonable to limit the number of exposures. (See also the latest research on ordinary outdoor "dirt" and immune system development). Reactions like that to silverware and dishware, etc., is common for mysophobes.

The one you might be able to mention to her is the diaper one, since you could easily find stuff online about how that could be a problem for the baby in some situations. But I'll have to say also that until you've changed diapers all day, for years, you may not really know how disruptive it would be to wash after every one...or exactly how she may be doing it that reduces risk in the first place. In fact, baby poop molecules are probably on just about every surface of that house just from the baby living there, not to mention human ones --everywhere.

As for mysophobia, you might want to see where on the continuum of degree of symptoms you might fall (e.g., how much order you need in your life, how "right" things need to seem before you're comfortable, whether you have checking compulsions, etc).
