How can you enjoy a football game when there is always no score?

Most of the games have no goals or maybe one goal the entire game. How is that exciting? As soon as one team scores a goal, the game is pretty much over. If there down by 2, you might as well leave the stadium. Goals only take up a few seconds of the whole game while the rest of the games means nothing with them kicking the ball back and forth and faking injuries like that got shot. How can anyone enjoy this? No wonder fans riot and burn down the place. If I was there I would start a riot too!How can you enjoy a football game when there is always no score?You must be a Yank. its not all about the goals, its about the technique. Think about little Andrei Arshavin dribbling around three defenders about a foot taller than he is. Then spotting Robin Van Persie 35 yards up,putting through a lovely through pass that goes through the legs of another two defenders. Then Robin Van Persie picks it up on his left foot and curls it in the back of the net. Beautiful aint it? The great thing about football (soccer) is that you wait the whole game, waiting for that one unbelievable moment when your team scores!



The tension of waiting for a goal, is what makes the actual goal so brilliant.



You wouldn't understand it because you don't support a team. I find American sports really boring because for the most part there's very little fan passion. It's more of an entertainment industry than anything else. Whereas in Wales, football is bigger than life and death for some (including myself).



Here, people really get passionate about their local club, because it's something that's a part of you.

An amazing goal scored in football is way better than a goal or whatever theyre called in basketball, hockey, etc..there isnt the same level of skill required. And games where theyre are constantly goals like bball get a bit repetitive and boring to me.

Also watching a player nutmeg the defenders and dribble past them like they werent there is exciting to me.

Anyway, if you dont understand youre in the minority (football is by far the most popular game in the world) so just dont watch it.
Recently in the Premier League in England, there have been goals galore.

Arsenal FC: 6-0, 4-1, 2-4, 4-0, 6-2 and 3-1

Manchester City FC: 4-1 and 3-4

Manchester United: 5-0 and 4-3

Tottenham Hotspur: 5-1 and 0-3

Chelsea: 3-0 and 1-3

Arsenal have set a record for the number of goals in the opening number of weeks this season!

Some 0-0 matches are still brilliant. Last season Man U-Arsenal was one of the best matches i have ever witnessed!

You have to enjoy soccer or football as you call it. It seems like you don't enjoy it so why do you care? I like it just because it takes so much skill and they make it look so easy. Plus it's cool when they score really cool goals.
I feel the same way about American gridiron (football). Just a bunch of steroid freaks jumping on each other. Stops every 30 seconds so they can decide what to do next and takes about 3 hours to play.
