Anemia / Iron deficiency problem?

I'm positive I have an Iron Deficency problem, I went to the doctor and he didn't find anything wrong with me, or anything was out of the ordinary, but I know there is something wrong. Last week, I went away to visit a friend and all we ate every day was pasta and or pizza, so I know that it's most likley a Iron def.

My symptoms are:

1. Extreme fatigue

2. Always wanting to sleep

3. Sore joints (like knee, most likley due to a lack of iron carrying cells)

4. burning sometimes in lymph nodes

5. scratchy throught

6. Sometimes a little but of abdominal pain

The most severe symptom is the Fatigue,

What should I do? like foods to eat, pills etc.

Thanks!Anemia / Iron deficiency problem?
You could start taking over the counter iron but iron is toxic and not water soluable. If anemia isn't your problem, you would be doing yourself harm by taking the iron. Having been anemic, your symptons don't ring true. You could possibly have something wrong with your Thyroid or possibly Depression. You need to find a Doctor you can work with and get to the bottom of this problem. It's no fun feeling so bad. Good luck.
Mono isn't any fun but at least now you know you can get over it and get to feeling better so you can get on with your life. You will have a new appreciation for feeling good when you get better. Good luck to you.

So now that you are back home , are you eating

regular again ?

Could be while at your friends you got out of

balance by eating differently than you normally do .
Taking extra Vitamin C will help to absorb more iron.Anemia / Iron deficiency problem?
I had an iron deficiency and I'm not sure your symptoms represent that, other than the fatigue. I've learned the hard way not to self-diagnose. If your doc isn't doing enough diagnostics, good idea to see another one. I wish you the best!
