Diet problems and lack of willpower?

I am an extreme junk eater, in fact that is all I eat. Carbs are my best friend and I dunno what I'd do without them. I'm not extremely overweight, however I have gained 2 stone over the last 2 years slowly but surely. I'm currently at 10stone and quite unhappy about it. The longest I've ever lasted on any diet is one day because I just love food so much and it's the only thing that comforts me. I've been really depressed for ages and food is the only thing that cheers me up.. an example of what i'd eat in a day would be nothing for breakfast, a can of coke with a chicken roll for lunch, pizza for dinner with coke and crisps at night with coke. Cola is my biggest downfall as I'm extremely addicted to both diet and original coke. I have no determination whatsoever and feel extremely weak as a person. I hate salads and refuse to eat it and the only way i can eat veg is if it is in a soup and liquidised. I come home from college really late in the evening so there is not much time to go to the gym or anything which makes it harder. Any advice would be amazing, thank you so much :), Laura xDiet problems and lack of willpower?
As there was no specific question here, I'm going to assume you want some form of change.

140 pounds at college-age could use a bit of improvement, but from how you describe your life, you don't seem to have any time at all.

Since you seem able to pinpoint all of your dietary problems, the only thing that will really help you is to change them.

If you are eating due to depression and emotions, try to replace that with exercise. Research has shown that exercise increases levels of serotonin, which will give you the same amount, if not more, of happiness as eating gives you now. Next time you have a food craving even though you are not hungry, chew a piece of gum and go for a quick walk. I'm sure you have at least a couple minutes in your day to do so.

Exposure to bright light and fresh air also increases serotonin levels in you brain, so you can take some food outside or eat them somewhere bright, if allowed.

When you have your food cravings somewhat under control, I suggest you begin to exercise. The minimum would be 20 minutes a day, which I'm sure you can spare. Staying in your target heart rate zone for more than 20 minutes will allow you to directly burn fat cells, but simply achieving cardiovascular exercise regularly will boost your metabolism.

Please, try to cut down on the soda because it will give you many, many health problems in time. Everytime you are about to pick up a can of soda, force yourself to chug down a cup of water. Always keep in mind how painful your life will be in the future if you continue your poor diet, and you should be at least somewhat motivated. Diabetes, heart attacks, strokes, kidney and liver failures, and even simply obesity will take away so many opportunities from your future. The complications you have now are nothing compared to the complications you will have in the future if you continue your dietary tract. Please keep that in mind.

EAT BREAKFAST. Breaking your nighttime fast tells your body that you are not, in fact, suffering from starvation, and your body does not have to store extra fat cells to help keep you alive. A bowl of oatmeal or an apple not only gives you more pep and energy throughout the day, it keeps you from becoming hungry and unnecessarily craving food.

Try to cut your nighttime meal. Even if you must eat supper a bit later, do NOT eat after 9pm.

Try setting a curfew for when you can or cannot eat. For example, limit yourself to a snack between 9:30-10 in the morning, and do not allow yourself to eat between 10am - 12pm. Something like that should boost your self discipline and allow you to feel better about yourself.

I could give you many more little tips to help you ease into a healthier lifestyle, but I'm not sure you want to read so much at one time. Feel free to message me or something if you want some other tricks and things :)

Good luck!
