I've always been an athletic person, lifting weights for the past 3 years I've made enormous gains in muscle and fat so recently I've joined a Muay Thai gym, 2 hours a week, added about 15 minutes of intense cardio intervals at the gym (2 min fast as i can, 2 min break, until 15 mins), and kept my normal intense body building routine. So over all I'm working out my muscles 4 times a week, Muay Thai twice a week, and cardio overall about 4 days a week. I've also started eating somewhat healthier foods, never eating anything too bad (Worst I've had the last week is a mini Pizza from Target). I only drink water, eat salmon and some veggies. My overall daily calorie intake I'd say is around 1200-1600 a day tops.
After making this change 2 months ago my weight has increased slightly by around 1-3 pounds, sometimes going down and up but no major change, yet my muscle definition is MUCH better and I'm developing visible red stretch marks all over my body at a very rapid rate.
Does this mean I'm losing fat? I understand stretch marks can come from gaining weight but 1-3 pounds in 2 months is not extreme enough for them to occur. I gained 20 pounds earlier this year of mostly fat in a short period of time and that didn't give stretch marks, yet losing weight does?? Confusing.
I'd also like to add that I'm 22, 5'11 and around 180-83 pounds.
Thank you for your time.Losing fat but not pounds?
Listen I know this isn't the popular decision but laxatives work! Idc what anyone says you take those and you be poopin! What else do you want in life... It feels a rhino is raging out of your *** everytime! Also a great way to get hard!
Yup. Muscle weighs more than fat. So, you're losing fat and gaining muscle. Great job!
Good luck! (:
answer mine? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>Losing fat but not pounds?
the reason u shouldint worry about your wait if your burning fat is because muscle weighs more than fat so ur problly just gaining muscle
You're gaining muscle while losing the fat.Losing fat but not pounds?
Your probably gaining muscle...Muscle ways a lot mor than fat.
Really? Your muscle definition is MUCH better and you鈥檙e developing visible red stretch marks all over your body at a very rapid rate!?!
Do you really want those?
Stretch marks can happen if you lose weight too fast or gain weight too fast. Your skin elasticity just cannot handle the fluctuation.
Stretch marks are very common for sick people who lost weight or pregnant women (on their belly) or bodybuilders getting huge muscle mass.
A mini pizza from Target? Now I have to try that one out of curiosity. There is nothing wrong about eating a slice of pizza if your body needs some fats (for your organs) or some sodium (if you ate diuretic food). Diuretics are alcohol, tea (anything with caffeine like coffee or sodas), cranberry juice, and food like cucumbers, watermelons, fresh tomatoes, asparagus, artichokes, beets, carrots, lettuce, raw onions, oats, melon, celery, parsley and any veggie from the cabbage family...cabbage, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, turnips, kale, collard greens, mustard , radish, horseradish, and 25 others...
I eat salmon too...the fillets are awesome if you have a food steamer and then you get the broccoli and the real carrots (not the dreadful commercial baby-cut ones) on the top tier of your steamer and dinner is ready in 20 minutes. Otherwise be careful of mercury. When salmon in on sale at my grocery store, I jump on it like a predator on its prey!!
I also jump on shrimps, mussels or sea scallops if they鈥檙e on sale.
Your overall daily calorie intake 1200-1600 a day tops does not seem right for an active tall (5鈥?1) young (22yo) heavy (182lbs) male with a 1,950 BMR.
You鈥檙e not a 60 years old, 5鈥? and 120 pounds woman with a 1,200 calories BMR.
22, 5'11 and around 180-83 pounds... is needs take serious consideration my friend. Anyways there many products available in the market to loose weight and get a good shape. One on i trust and recommend would be More Than hCG. You can find out more about them by visiting any of the following links.
