Do You Think I Might Have Diabetes?

I was looking up some stuff on diabetes (specifically type 1) and realized I have a lot of the symptoms:

Frequent Urination: I have to use the restroom probably 5-7 times a day, even when I haven't drank anything since my last restroom visit.

Exhaustion: I am tired all the time. I take naps often during the day and even after my naps I'm still so fatigued.

Extreme Thirst: lately I've been really thirsty. I typically finish off a whole water bottle just at night alone and with my meals I've been drinking 3 or 4 tall glasses of milk. I still find myself swallowing a lot throughout the day because my throat is so parched.

Increased Hunger: I've been eating at least double what I used to eat this time last year. For years I could only eat one burger or a large slice of pizza before I was full but now it's two or three burgers and like, four slices of pizza.

Weight Loss: despite eating more my weight has actually dropped from 97 to like, 89.

Blurry Vision: I don't know if this is what the websites mean by having blurry vision as a symptom but my vision goes out of focus a lot. I don't need glasses or anything but when I sit still for a while and then move my head suddenly my vision gets dark and my head gets kind of tingly. It comes back after about 10 seconds. I don't know if this is somewhat normal? Also, my eyes will lose focus randomly sometimes.

Slow Healing Wounds: I have a scratch on my foot from like, three months that still hasn't healed. My cuts used to heal fairly quick but lately not so much.

Another I noticed when researching diabetes is that people who are diagnosed also have gum issues. About two months ago I went to the dentist because I thought I had gingivitus when in fact I had an advanced form of it called Periodontitis. My gums were scaled and got a deep cleaning and were fixed (I don't think it goes away forever). Since then I've been taking care of my teeth pretty well. Lately though I'm seeing those same symptoms again. I read that diabetics are more prone to getting Periodontitis so I thought maybe that's why these symptoms are coming back?

Some facts about me, in case it helps: I'm a 17 year old Caucasian girl. I'm not terribly active (I'm homeschooled and have never played sports). The only person I know of in my family who has diabetes is my grandfather. He has type 2 and was diagnosed about 4 years ago.

Please give me your opinion on this!Do You Think I Might Have Diabetes?
How long have you had these symptoms? Because of your age you're unlikely to have type 2 diabetes (although it is possible). Type 1 diabetes comes on really quickly and within a couple of weeks, so if you've had these symptoms for a while its unlikely to be type 1 diabetes. They also become quite difficult to ignore quite quickly - the thirst you feel is beyond extreme - it's like a crazy thirst that's kinda indescribable to someone who hasn't experienced it. Another marker for needing the toilet excessively is if you go several times during the night. The chances are your symptoms are related more to being a teenager - growing etc. and drinking a lot is healthy for you but does mean you need to pee more! But it wouldn't hurt to get checked out by a dr just to make sure there's nothing else going on, diabetes or otherwise. Hope that helps xxxDo You Think I Might Have Diabetes?
Its very possible. But there is only one definitive way to diagnose Diabetes, and that's a simple blood sugar test. I would go as soon as you can to your doctor.Do You Think I Might Have Diabetes?
The best and most accurate way to deal with this problem is to tell your parents your concern and have a blood test.. make sure the doc does both fasting glucose and HbA1c.. you will then have your answer
