I haven't eaten since Sunday?

I started a rather extreme (medically monitored) diet two weeks ago. It is a liquid only diet. I am overweight and I fall into the obese catagory (My BMI was 35 at the start, it is now 32) For the first week I tried to be good and drink the shakes, however they are really repulsive! Gradually I was taking less and less of them, until finally I stopped taking them altogether. Last Sunday lunchtime was the last time I had one.



I don;t feel hungry (just a slight tummy rumble twice a day or so) and am not struggling at all with not eating. I feel fine, not faint or anything and am staying well hydrated and taking multivitamins. I have also started excercising a lot more - sometimes going twice a day (I previously avoided excercise like the plague!) No one knows I've stopped eating, everyone thinks I'm just doing really well on the diet. I'm hiding the fact from my husband and lying to him when he asks how many shakes I've had that day. Problem is, I don't want to eat anything at all now, because I'll feel like I've failed. Don;t get me wrong, the thought of a pizza makes my mouth water! But I wouldn't let one past my lips as it would spoil the good work I've done. I do still feel as if I will eat again when I each my target weight though.



Do you think I have a problem? Or am I just being a bit over zealous?I haven't eaten since Sunday?
If I were you I'd join weight watchers.
what a silly thing to go and do...as soon as you start eating again the waight will go back on....im 50+and got 7 stone to loos im on a normal diet and its going ...I haven't eaten since Sunday?
thing it, next time you eat your body will store it as fat because it is unsure of when it is going to be fed again. If i were you i would just start of eating a little until your fully eating agin, just eat fruit or pasta, something to give you energy. Then id join weight watchers or slimming world. The support will help.



By not eating, youll lose the weight then just put it back on again when you have food, even if its healthy!!

Sweety when you start lying about what you are consuming then that says you are starting to have a problem which sounds like it may lead to an eating disorder. You need to consume nutrition for your bodies health, if you dont then your body will go into "starvation mode" where any calorie will be stored as fat to see it through the "lean " times, so when you reach your target weight and eat again you will put the weight back on, harsh i know. The only way i managed to lose weight was to stick to my diet and excersize. You need to talk to your doctor again and see if you can find another solution to just not eating.

you really need controlled balanced healthy diet,who on earth suggested "shakes", please get back to the medics who suggested this, and please ask them to sort this out at once. and start eating something like salad etc till you can join a club and get support.good luck anyway.
You have to tell your doctor about this, not eating is very dangerous, and besides, its detrimental to your diet.



Your body needs nutrition every day. If you contine to not eat, your body will go into starvation mode, and start breaking down muscle etc. Then, when you do eat some food or drink a shake, your body will not use it efficiently, but store it all as fat.



So by not eating, you are damaging your body and ruining the benefits of your diet. But you are also in danger of developing an eating disorder.



You have to be sensible about this and give your body the nutition it needs. Start drinking the shakes again now, before you seriously damage your physical and mental health.
you have to eat. it is like a car, without fuel it will stop, same goes for you. you do not have to eat unhealthy foods, but you do need to eat. you need to put energy into you body, and without any food at all you will not lose weight, you body will start to store your fat as it feels like you are starving it. try salads, soups, raw veggies, fruits, there are all kinds of foods out there that will fill you up and give you the energy you need to do all the exercise you are doing and help you.

you are not being kind to your body by starving yourself and it is so unhealthy and you don't want to end up in the hospital do you? Eat healthy foods and put some fuel in your body. good luck with you diet, but do it right.xx

well the feeling your having is just the fear of losing all you've done and this also bec. your preventing your body from things it would need and and staying without eating is dangerous for one reason and this reason is if u stayed away from eating your stomach will keep getting smaller and smaller till it doesn't accept any food again and main cause to dead the Second thing when ever u feel that eat veg. water water till u fill that u don't need to eat this fat food in front of u and i suggest that u should have a freed day hope u eat and lose weight as u want but remember eat
I think you do have a problem. By not eating at all, you're going to put your body into famine mode, which means that when you do start eating, you are going to put weight back on rather rapidly.



Learn the like the shakes, dear. And learn to like raw vegetables, fruit, wholegrain bread .....



Pizza without cheese or fatty sausage is fine. It's called Pizza Marinara, they eat it in Venice - and the only fat people in Venice are the tourists, the locals walk everywhere so they stay trim.
