So for a month or so now i have been haveing these strange symptoms. I have had EXTREME hunger increase, i mean a lotttttt (on saturday i had 6 slices of pizza, 20 buffalo wings, 10 bagel bites, 6 cans of soda, and 5 pancakes all within 2 hours) and i am not overweight at all (156 lbs, 5'9'', 13% BF) So on top of that, ive also had bad fatigue, i slept 13 hours friday night, and 12 hours saturday night, and i usually only sleep 6 or 7. I have also been extremely thirsty lately, and if i dont drink something at least once an hour i feel like i havent drank something in days. But with that drinking increase, i have NOT had increased urination which i thought was strange. Now on top of this, i have allergies, and the past few weeks ive been dizzy, had a sore throat, and itchy eyes. So what do you think this could be? could it all just be like an extreme case of allergies because its really becoming spring now and i have them? or is it something else? Thank you in advanced! What could these symptoms mean??
I agree with both the previous answers, it sounds as tho you should go and see your GP. I am also in aggreeance with the other answers in regards to diabetes, I have diabetes (juvenile) but was not diagnosed till I was almost 19. A lot of the things that you have mentioned do occur with it, eg increased thirst, increased appetite including the fatigue, your body has to find another way of using the stored fats etc in your own body (diabetes used to be called 'slimmers disease') when it cannot produce its own insulin islolets to break down all this within your body it starts to break down its own 'body fat' I am not sure about the allergy side of things but it could be because your body is working so hard your immune system will definitely be weakened. My main suggestion would be go see your doc %26amp; if you can have a chat with your parents also it would probably relieve your mind a wee bit more. Goodluck hope all comes out ok.What could these symptoms mean??
THis is serious enough that you need to see a doc.
Except for the lack of increase in urination I would worry about diabetes. A tapeworm is another possibility.
But see a doc. What could these symptoms mean??
Well I think extreme thirst could be Diabetic or hypoglycemic. You could just be thirsty though. My dog became diabetic and was always drinking water. So thats how I know that. Maybe it doesn't apply to people though haha. The sore throat, itchy eyes is most likely allergies. I don't think allergies makes you eat or drink more. It could make you worn out and more tired though. You should tell your parents and talk to a doctor. The eating more could also just be a growth spurt. I think boys grow until they are in their early 20's.
