Have you ever had to use extreme survival skills to survive?

I didn't have any clean clothes to wear one weekend and was unable to go grocery shopping. I managed to survive the weekend by eating only pizza, chili, sandwiches, cereal, a few candy bars, fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, hot dogs, hamburgers, leftover lasagna, various canned soups, Toaster Strudels, high fiber Pop Tarts, various types of chips and salsa, and frozen burritos. It's not easy recalling that harrowing weekend with only limited food supplies. I think surviving it though, has helped make me a stronger person.Have you ever had to use extreme survival skills to survive?
Despite the fact that I used to watch "Survivorman" religiously, I probably wouldn't last more than a day or two in the wild.

Hang on... I sort of remember something about how to make kindling from your own sock lint.
Shut up.LOL Yes, I have when I took a very strenuous(to say the least) hike once on Kauai. It was about 3-4 miles through mud, climbing over boulders,up hills, through a dence bamboo forest and over sharp rocks. I drank water, but apparently not enough and didn't eat enough carbs. I got dizzy and dehydrated about 3/4 of the way to our final destination- the fabulous Waterfall. But, I was okay. I took water with an electrolyte packet and was fine. But I tell you, until then I thought I was in tip-top Physical condition, only to be *** whipped by this Mountain Hike.Have you ever had to use extreme survival skills to survive?
