How can I cancel a date without upsetting him?

He never picks me up or visits me so after a long day at work I drive to his house only for him to heat a frozen pizza. It's been this way for months. He lives in a very expensive house, drives a new luxury car he said he paid all in cash and has a very good job that gives him a lot of free time to travel. He never takes me when he travels and takes me to cheap diners I'm embarassed to tell my family and friends how he treats me but I've seen receipts of very expensive restaurants on his desk and he talks about nice places he goes to.



So anyway I'm supposed to drive my gas guzzling truck to his house after work today. God forbid he go out of his way to pick me up and take me out or even visit me in my home. I'm moody and fed up. Should I say I have too much work and have to work late or what? I don't expect fancy things but one yucky diner and cardboard tasting frozen pizza is too extreme on the other end of the spectrum don't know why he associates me with that.How can I cancel a date without upsetting him?
Ugh, that's sad! That's almost worse than going "dutch" on a date (where the girl pays for her own food). You don't have to make excuses for yourself. Tell him what's going on, and that you can't stand it, and see how he reacts. He that's ALL he does for you (frozen pizzas), while he has nice cars, a nice house, and other nice things, than screw him!!
