I live and breath fast food its almost all i eat, other than soda, fruit roll ups steak, eggs, pizza/pizaza rolls just extreme junk food. i eat no vegetables or fruits.. like whatso ever and im starting to feel like some of its affecting me health really bad like my heart will start shaking really fast ect. and my parents want me to eat betterbut they encourage my bad diet too by telling me to go get mcdonalds or something instead of my mom cooking cuz shes tired.. im not fat im aculy underweight and people dont believe me when i say i eat fast food every day lol im starting to get scared that im going to die from a disease i shouldn't even worry about untill im like 50 please help i hate the feeling and the taste of almost all fruits/vegetable.. i hate what the seeds feel like in my mouth the taste ughh its SO bad green beans are.. a perfect example the feeling in my mouth is just gross but the tase is bearable soo there OK, steam carrots are aculy really good same with corn.. but other than that.. idk please help :/ btw im 16 125 or so lbs 6'1 or so feet tall.How can I change my diet?
You don't have to change your entire diet at once! Just take on 1 thing you want to change. Then when you've "mastered" that go on to another thing you want to change. For example, many years ago I wanted to quit drinking pop. I accomplished that and drank water instead. Then I quit drinking coffee, and so on. Now, after many years, I eat mostly vegetables and fruits and don't eat anywhere near as much "junk".
Identify ONE item you want to quit eating and replace it with something healthy (like replacing pop with water in my example). You'll be surprised after a few years how much you've improved! Also, do some reading about diet on the web and go to the library. There is MUCH information available. Go to a food coop or natural food store (when they aren't real busy) and talk with people in the produce department.
As for exercise, begin an exercise you think would be fun and within your budget. I bike ride and am now starting to lift weights in addition to that. But you might find something else more exciting. Talk with your friends about what might be fun.
I'm 53 years old and I started improving my diet about 15 years ago. I wish I had started when I was your age, it would've been much, much easier to change then! A diet of junk food WILL cause health problems later in life and it will be expensive and perhaps painful to change then. So do what you can to improve your diet and exercise level right now.
Just know, there will be days you "blow it" and eat lots of junk food. Forgive yourself and move on to eating better the next day!
