I remember... I was coming home from school. I was talking to my friend, Blas, with whom I am in a band. He wanted me to get him some guitar picks so he could practice tremolo bass picking. I had some in my pocket, and wanted to give them to him, but he insisted not yet.
Above the clouds, we saw a huge - I mean HUGE - hovering disc aircraft circling the tri-town area. It appeared to be miles across. There were 2 of them, and they were docking to what looked like control towers that were much lower, but still at least 3000ft up. He had a hunch of what they were. I think he said they were "audio resonance disruptors". He got off the bus at a different stop than he normally does. I was driven home.
There was a drastic setting change when I entered my house. It was dusty, dark, dreary, humid, and erie. It was a worn down house. I was the only one there. I was the owner of the house. There were 3 fan/lamps on the ceiling. The whole place had a lonely silence about it. I had to go down the stairs into the basement to do laundry. It was dark down there. I had the classic impending darkness feeling all the while in the basement. It was full of old boxes filled with old things that I knew weren't mine. They could have been my family's or owned by the people who I had taken the house from (It wasn't my house, I'm sure of that.). Finishing up the laundry, I look out the window and see a lifeless grassy field filled with dead trees and relics from a past thriving world. This is when I'm sure It has been after the apocalypse.
I was finished after I stopped messing around with the old stuff in the basement. There was an officer's war uniform that I was fond of trying on. I went upstairs. I sat for a long time in the chair in the corner of the main living area. I stared at the ceiling with the moving air from the fans breathing on my face and drying my eyes. The house interior was gray and dank.
All of the sudden, I wanted more light. The darkness was spooky to the point of insanity, plus it contributed to the impending doom feeling. As if I was playing a video game, I pulled up the menu, bought a new ceiling fan lamp, and went into placement mode. I know that part sounds stupid. I made careful to place it exactly where it would produce the most light for the dark room. I placed it and was attacked by a furious noise. It was somewhat like a noise that a frozen computer would make if the plug was half pulled out of the socket. The noise was stunning. I was petrified, and my body jerked to a straight pose as I started falling out of the chair. It must have been the audio disruptors at the tritown center.
I woke up pushing out a silent scream that had no vocality. What does this frigging dream mean to you? It was one of the most disturbing, mental, freakish dreams I have had all year (god knows about the socialist green pizza)I had a freaky trippy dream about the apocalypse?
It means you should stop smokin the dope.I had a freaky trippy dream about the apocalypse?
you should write a book lolI had a freaky trippy dream about the apocalypse?
That's really cool :) I love apocalyptic subjects. I don't really know what it would mean. Our brains collect things throughout the day that have the most significance to us, the things that evoke the greatest or most peculiar reaction from us, and those are often the things that we dream of. I have dreams like that quite often, lots of detail.
