Honestly this makes me NOT want to go and see the movie. I already have issues with obsessions, depression, and anxiety and I have a feeling this would just make that 100x worse.

If they so badly want to live on the planet just go to the movies everyday and watch the movie all hours that its being previewed and pretend you're on the planet. We *could* live like the Na'vi, but humans are too impatient to learn how. And I don't think it's racist, sexist, anti-military, homophobic, anti-religion, or any other bullshit people are spewing out about it. It's a highly intelligent, well-directed movie that's made to be enjoyed. People seriously need to get over themselves.



As a teenaged girl I thought Avatar was a very kick-ash movie. I saw it twice, loved it both times.
I didn't see the movie, but I am noticing this on the site. Wow, that article was something. People who are suicidal battled life, they didn't just get that way after watching a movie. They didn' learn how to deal with their problems, and one problem piled on top of another and when you loose hope, it is hard for them. It isn't a movie that makes someone commit suicide, it is a lifetime of troubles.
